How to Refresh (and save!) Stale Bread
A FEW NOTES ABOUT REFRESHING STALE BREAD:
- This process works best with whole or half-loaves of crusty, artisan bread. Refreshing won't have the same effect on already-sliced or soft breads (like Hawaiian rolls or sandwich bread).
- If your bread has started to mold, it's time to toss it in the compost and bake a new loaf. Don't eat moldy bread!
- If you have sliced artisan bread that's less-than perfect, try toasting it to revive it! Pop it directly into a toaster oven, or drizzle with olive oil and bake on a sheet pan like crostini.
